Unknown jugs
Rodney Halson's research also uncovered the prospects for other jugs:
- the early minutes of the Rotary Club of Stoke-on-Trent note 'a promise by AE Gray to send a jug to the President of the Rotary Club of Paris in 1936, following the visit to Stoke of a member of that Club.'
- Rotarian Percy Jones (of Stoke-on-Trent) had five jugs made for him when visiting South Africa on retirement. One or more were broken, others were given to Clubs in South Africa.
- in 1980 a jug was presented to Jim Walsh, author of The First Rotarian, one of various biographies of Paul Harris.
So there may be a few more in cases or cupboards around the world!
